Beginning April 15 the Gazebo will no longer keep credit cards on file.  Only gift cards can be kept on file.  Credit cards may still be used, but not kept on file.

Sherry Cirasuolo has had complications with her knee after attending physical therapy.  Her recuperation time has been extended.  She is in good spirits and hoping to return to the Gazebo in a couple of weeks.

A/C Maintenance will be done Tuesday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 22 starting from the Penthouse down.  All units that are on the list will be serviced.

Closing your unit

The following items are suggestions that will make your apartment just as inviting on your return to Tiara as it was when you left:

Shut off your water heater at the two main water valves (cold and hot) above your water heater or turn it off at the circuit breaker box.

Close the toilet lid.

Place all spices and cereals in the refrigerator, or seal them in plastic zip lock bags or in glass jars with tight fitting lids.  Some items that attract insects are: flour, pancake mix, crackers, spaghetti, cake mixes, macaroni, rice, dry soup mix, spices, cigarettes, tea, coffee and vitamin supplements.

Remove all furniture, plants and other movable objects from your balcony.  It is not the Tiara's responsibility to remove your belongings in case of an emergency.  Close the drapes to keep your furniture and carpeting from fading.

Set the thermostat on fan, auto and 78 degrees for maximum efficiency.  Raise the refrigerator setting and empty the icemaker bin.  Turn the icemaker off.  Unplug electrical appliances.

Notify the office if you wish monthly exterminator service while you are gone (if you do not have the service while in residence).

Blow out your A/C line if it has not been blown out during the past 12 months.   Also, if the A/C filter has not been changed within the last month, it should be changed at this time to insure efficient operation of your air conditioner while you are gone.

Leave an authorization card at the lobby desk so that we may open the apartment if you will be having a workman, deliveries, maids, etc., in the apartment during your absence.

Leave a key in the valet cabinet or on the kitchen counter in the apartment (let valet know) if you are leaving an automobile in the garage.  Sometimes, maintenance work being done in the garage makes it necessary to temporarily move automobiles so that they are not damaged.

Move your bike from the garage into your unit.

Update your address with the office.

If you have any orchids that will not travel well, donate them at the front desk and we will put them in the trees by the front entrance.

Men's gym is open for women trainers between the hours of 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Sea turtle nesting started last week. Please respect the cordoned off areas on the beach.

Easter comes late this year and many of our seasonal residents will have already returned north, so we are starting early this year to prepare decorations for Easter Brunch in the Marquis.

If you'd like to help the Craft Group and have some fun, save the dates of Thursday, March 30 and Thursday, April 6, when we will be blowing out and dying Easter eggs in the Board Room, lower Marquis. Later in April we will use the eggs to create colorful centerpieces for Tiara's Easter Brunch. Call 561-351-1502 to sign up for one or more of these activities.

A reminder to all Residents: if you leave the Tiara for any extended time, please notify the desk and the management office with a proper forwarding address.

Reminder to seasonal Renters-Please leave a forwarding address with the office so that we may mail you your refundable deposit if you're not returning next season.

Regarding the Hotwire internet service, this is a reminder that the upgraded faster internet speed of 100 mps (versus the standard speed of 50 mps) was provided to all owners at no additional charge only for for the first year.

Now that this 12 month introductory promotion is over, Hotwire has begun charging $19.99 per month to continue the 100mps speed.

If you only want the 50 mps internet service, and to avoid the additional monthly charge of $ 19.99, you must contact Hotwire directly and request it.

Also, the two free years for a landline ends next January or February.

You can reach Hotwire at 800-355-5668, or you can access your account online at gethotwired.com and get a representative on the " LiveChat” to request the change in service.

If you are planning to have a private event in the upper marquis this spring/summer keep in mind that we may refurbish the upper marquis; we do not yet have the exact dates if we do so.

Cable tv tip-if your cable is not working, try unplugging the cable box; when you plug it back in, it will reboot. Most of the time this should work.

Residents who do not have vehicle transponders must go through the visitor gate. Guards will need to verify that you are a resident before allowing you on the property. Without a transponder, there will be a delay in entering the property. The residents' gate lowers after each car.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO THROUGH GATE it will fall unto your car causing damage.

Join the fun and celebrate spring while watching the spectacular sunset at tonight’s Marquis Bar Bites. The best views in all of Palm Beach County! What a deal!

And as a new season gets underway, let’s remember a great winter season with our Farewell Snowbirds Party on Sunday We’re planning special Chef Michael buffet with Larry Johnson and the music of Motown. So make your reservations now, and bring your dancing shoes! . (Just to be clear—non-snowbirds are welcome too.)

And don’t forget the Pot Luck Dinner on Tuesday, and Bar Bites on Thursday.

Looking into April, and the Easter Season—plan now to enjoy the ever popular and traditional Easter Brunch at the Marquis.  

And speaking of Tiara Tradition, once again we will celebrate Easter with the beachside Sunrise Service followed by Catholic Mass in the Tiara Library.

The Gazebo will be open 6 days this week—closed on Tuesday. And we plan on being open for six days until Easter, and 7 days on Easter week, April 16-22.

And for those wondering about M&G Finances. As reported in last week’s board meeting, we are off to an encouraging start for the first two months of the year.
Our January and February budget called for a total M&G subsidy of $11,803. But our subsidy was only $8,423 – a savings of nearly $3400.
What’s more the Marquis has shown a profit of $580 for the first two months of the year—and for the last three months a combined profit of over $3600.
Gazebo subsidies are just $145 over budget projections for this year.
